Windows 8 upgrades will supposedly be super fast | TG Daily.
Not sure what others experience was with Windows 8 Upgrade.
During the recent developers release, I had the honor of being among those invited to upgrade, install and try windows 8 on a unit. Those that have followed this blog will note the first round of it didn’t go well at all. So not sure how fast you can make something that appears to have issues upgrading. Unless there is alot of major changes before it’s release. I’m fearing Windows 8 will be the next Windows ME and Vista. Not only replacing the Start Bar with the Metro UI and forcing users to use something that isn’t user friendly is a sure fire way to kill off your business. Going to be watching this one closely. BTW if Microsoft is indeed reading this, hey guys. Remember when you ASKED the users what they wanted in an interface and OS. That was your most successful release SO FAR! Time to get back to what folks WANT in there OS not what some developer things is cool at the moment.
