Microsoft official announce the Windows 10 software at the San Francisco conference this afternoon. Stating it’s one product family, one platforms and one store.
They showed a revamped Start Bar for those that want to use it in desktop mode, featuring resizable live tiles in the start menu. You can change the size of the start menu as well.
Microsoft stated that Windows 10 is about personalization, as well as productivity. Bringing in features like Task View which is Microsoft’s version of OS X’s Expose. As well as Multiple Desktops, to make users more productive.
Windows 10 not only enhances the Windows Desktop experience but also enhances the Windows Metro Experience as well.

Shipping for Windows 10 is expected later in the year in 2015.
The conference has now just moved in to a Q&A session. One item we were hoping to hear about was upgrade for Windows 7 or Windows XP pricing, Microsoft is not releasing those details today.
Windows 10 supports screens from 4″ to 80″, Befliore, stated they are trying to blend the experience across PC’s tables, and Phones. Scales from small devices up to Azure. Adding similar capabilities yet in the end each will differ slightly. They have also created a core team that is building common technology that is shared across all of the supporting devices.
Microsoft feels, Windows 10 was created to address both the Touch and the Keyboard and Mouse experience all in one package. Their intent is to make this update available for the vast majority of devices using Windows software.
Conference is now closed and the attendee’s are now playing with Windows 10.
