android

Thomas Wheeler, a user here at TechoJunkyard.net wrote me this morning.  With some info about Google Mobile Voice Actions.

He’s been experimenting with it and found it to be very useful.  Thomas writes, the most impressive feature about my android phone is the ability to use voice commands and voice to text, and text to voice. This means for example, I can send a text message to somebody and never touch the phone. I’ll be trying this with email as well soon. My phone requires a headset, as the built in microphone picks up too much surrounding sounds. It’s very sensitive!

Android also offers Iris now in version 2.0, which appears to be a very close clone of Apples Siri.  One report from a techblog stated that Iris was written and created in only 8 hours after Siri’s release.
