News this morning that many of the Occupy Camps are being closed. I posted the links for Portland as I still have family back there. There was some violence overnight and some rioting and they are closing all the camps. 2 Live streams are located in the Chatroom. I won’t say I support or don’t support but it’s worth watching.
Update 3:43PM Spoke with both of my Children that live in Portland and things are very tense there but they are both OK and in an area out of the way of the protest.
Update 4:46pm Added all of the Media Streams covering this Protest. So far things have remained civil. The crowd’s are huge and peaceful so far.

Update 5:09pm Salem Police have arrived on scene. News crews are on scene. Sw 4th and SW Main St. is full of people as police and the protestors are at a stand off. The crowd has grown to near 1000 people in protest, according to News reporters from KGW.
UPDATE 5:28pm According to Media sources there have been 15 arrests.
This entire thing has been very interesting to watch not via conventional TV News on the national level, but LIVE STREAMS on the NET from the local TV stations as well as UStream and Streaming sources. In upwards of 5700 viewers on one of the Streaming sources. Many folks are watching this occur.
UPDATE 6:41pm Appears to be a tripling off officers on the scene. The protestors are now trying to determine where they are going to gather now. Protesters are having what they call a general assembly the media is saying.
UPDATE 6:57pm Police have now opened SW 4th street and informed the crowd that they would be arrested if they remain in the street. Not good sign.
UPDATE Several Hundred are now moving along 4th Ave toward Salmon Ave. They are planning to take Pioneer Courthouse Square. Media is continuing to stream this online as well as on the UStream… Most media outside of the Portland area had made small reference to what’s been going on at least in my area Oklahoma City. However the national media did reference happenings in 5 major cities.. Media is now saying the numbers are over 1000 people.
Update 7:15pm For those that haven’t followed this. Over the last 24 hours the downtown park occupation areas have been CLEARED out. Tents and camps have been broken up. There have been about 35 arrests. The Protestors, have moved just over 1000 of them now. From the 4th Ave and SW Main location, to Pioneer Court House Square. The media stations in the Portland area are STREAMING this LIVE. KGW alone is reporting that they have 50,000 viewers on their online stream watching this. This event is a HUGE testament alone to online news coverage of LIVE events.
UPDATE 7:24pm All 3 parks that have been occupied by protestors for over 30 days now in Portland Oregon have been taken back by Police and FENCED off. KGW is reporting that there has been 50 arrests. HUGE crowds are now in Pioneer Court House Square. Media is continuing to cover the protest LIVE via streaming media. Over 1000 people moved from 4th and SW Main St. to Pioneer Court House Square as police opened the ROADS to traffic forcing the protestors to move. I’ve posted LINKS to each of the stations as well as a UStream link that has been used by protestors over the last couple of days.
