Analyst: Windows 8 Tablets Dead on Arrival? | News & Opinion | PCMag.com.

Well the analyst’s are starting come out with many comments that the Windows 8 tablets may not be LONG for the market if they even make it to market.  At this point already behind the game of Apples IPad and now Amazon’s Kindle.  Can Microsoft play catch up?

As previously posted on [TechnoJunkyard: 10.10.2011] I voiced my opinions when I was invited to review Microsoft’s Windows 8 software at a recent online developers conference.  I stated at that point that the OS was not well thought out at all.  Microsoft has made alot of assumptions again just like in Vista and Windows ME that instead of asking users what they would like to see next.  The OS is expected to drive PCs, Notebooks, Tablets and Phones.  Good if all devices support touch.  If they don’t it’s not likely to work very well.  The other issue at hand is removing more items that folks know how to access things from.  Specifically the removal of the start button and program bar.  Another MISSTEP by Microsoft making the assumption that most people don’t run their programs from this.  I’m all for Technology and New technology but interface for change sake to sell more units?  Nope.  I’m with the author of this piece I also think this thing is DEAD ON ARRIVAL!!
