Windows-10-Browser
So everyone has been rabidly snapping up the updates to windows 10.  One slight issues is, Microsoft Edge.  It was not ready to let go of it’s BING search defaults and adding them has remained GREY or Ghosted so you cannot use it.  Never fear, I uncovered a work around just a few moments ago.

Open Edge and select settings (…) located on the Right side of the browser.
The first thing we need to do it to set a Custom start page.  Select A specific page or pages.
From the pull down menu now select Custom.  Below this field enter the name of the Web Address you want the browser to open to.  Mine was https://encrypted.google.com.  Press Plus and remove the old one by clicking the X beside it.  Close Edge.

Open Edge and your default page will be the one you selected.  Now go back into settings (…).
Scroll to the bottom of the settings and find View advanced settings, click on that.  Scroll down to the Search in the address bar with.  You should now have the ability to ADD you google search.  It opens the google search now.  I’ve not been able to force the encrypted version in yet, even though I’ve selected it.  However this will work until a new version of the browser and google get together to allow the encrypted search to be available.
