An automatic reloading puzzle feeder for your dog with a real bell that challenges, stimulates and feeds your dog for up to 9 hours.
What is the Foobler?
A dog’s natural instinct is to hunt and forage for food. It keeps their brain and body active and engaged. Puzzle feeders are designed for that purpose but they must be refilled after every single use. The Foobler is an automatic self-reloading puzzle feeder with 6 timer activated pods. Its like having 6 puzzle toys in one, that deliver a full day’s worth of regular kibble or treats for them to enjoy.
There are many pet puzzle toys and time release feeders available, however, nothing has filled the product gap between the two. The Foobler enables controlled feeding because it eliminates overfeeding in a single meal, or worse, over-filled bowls left out for continuous snacking.
We are dog owners and we know they are hard on their toys. We are striving to develop a durable product that stands up to the toughest dogs. It’s made of high density polyethylene for all your harshest punishment. It is of course Patent Pending. The Foobler can also be easily cleaned! Just pull out the power pod and wash it!Did you already order a Foobler and want something for under the tree?
How’d you get the product this far?
Trial and error is always a great place to start. We’ve all designed for the pet industry and have always enjoyed working on these products. We started with a simple puzzle toy like many existing units on the market, but they offered so many limitations and lacked the performance we wanted. We kept adding volume and storage. We tried to make them easier to clean, (those things get gross!!) We tried to make bowls better (hint, they’re bowls..) We knew there was another direction we could take, so we tried to pull those methodologies together.
The bell has been a compelling design element of the project. We learned that a machined bell isn’t a good solution and a stamped bell is what is needed. This insight was huge in developing the tone and volume we were looking for. With a small amount of force we can generate clear tones without lots of on-board electronics for a more rugged design with a clear audio tone. If we had gone the digital route, the speaker size, complexity, and the required power would have taken up a lot of space and cost far more to integrate into the design. Plus, who doesn’t love a bell, especially Pavlov!
Who are these people making pet toys?
We’re TGiF Design, more simply Tristan, Greg, and Fred. years ago we all worked at Sharper Image Design together. Since then we’ve gone off and developed products all over in lots of companies and industries. We all have previous experience in pet toys and especially in dog toys, so we’re venturing in an area where we do have some experience. We’re finally getting the band back together and building something for ourselves for a change.
We’re all pet lovers and want to make something that’s fun, enjoyable, and healthy for your dog. This is a great chance to do that.
Please support the project and order one of our great Foobler perks, your dog will thank you for it!
