According to Military.com the soldiers in the field are one step closer to obtaining, this awesome piece of military hardware.
The M119A2 Howitzer, was shipped recently to 4 locations by ARDEC for safety testing. Moving the the digitized Howitzer closer to being moving into use by front-line forces.
This latest incarnation of the Howitzer sports the latest in Digital fire control systems, including inertial navigation, guided precision systems, and other system that give the system precise geographic location.
Upgrade’s will make the units with the M119A2 105mm Howitzer, faster to put rounds on target as well as much faster to evade returned hostile fire.
