AT&T says it won’t back down on T-Mobile acquisition.
Source:Arstechnica
In what appears to be the most schizophrenic acquisition in years. AT&T now is deciding to fight to acquire T-Mobile.
Any bets on how this will turn out? My thinking is that the FCC would be in a good position to allow T-Mobile to auction itself off to the highest bidder. All the other Mobile carriers then would get a piece of the company as well. This is similar to a plan that was floated about a week ago where AT&T would not get the WHOLE T-Mobile company but would allow smaller and other carriers to buy parts.
Update 12.19.2011 – According to PCMag the deal is OFF again. Guys make up your mind of MOVE ON already.
