Lockheed Martin’s SBIRS GEO-2 satellite clears hurdle toward launch.

Lockheed Martin successfully completed thermal vacuum testing of the U.S. Air forces SBIRS GEO-2 satellite.  It is the largest hurdle cleared so far in it’s path to launch the next generation of missile warning satellite.

Japan adds spy satellite to its network -msnbc.com. MSNBC and Associated press report this morning that Japan has successfully launched a spy satellite aimed at being part of a network of intelligence gathering satellites due to be complete next year.
