Note, if you were actually thinking of using this in the woods for spotting animals, they would more likely be Blind at the range of about 5 miles.

Sam Sheperd’s Flashlight does get EXTREMELY HOT, so Sheperd built a water-cooling system to prevent a melt down.  Hey no need for the handwarmer in the winter one may be thinking.

This is one of the most creative uses LED technology we have seen in a long time. This fantastic flashlight is powered by eight 100-watt Liquid cooled LED’s.  It’s not just bright, it is producing a whopping 72,000 lumen.  That is more than the typical modern movie theater projector with creates 35,000 lumens of light.

The small battery pack Sam used provided 6 minutes of light.  A battery backpack, for longer light was discussed in the Frequently asked questions on his videos WEBSITE.

Here is Sam’s video from a couple weeks ago.

Check out the additional photo’s of this Flashlight can be found at Sam’s imgur site.  Even one from a 2:00am trip to Palouse Fall’s to test out the lights range and adding an additional 3 LED’s.
