We have heard about the DARPA exoskeleton’s that have been under development for several years now.  Now it’s not only being used for super soldiers, but for those with Physical disabilities.The Kessler Foundation picked up one of the Ekso Bionics units and gave six patients with severe spinal injuries, a chance to walk.  One of those chosen was a tetraplegic.  The study trial will examine the effects of walking for wheelchair bound people, to see if it is better for their health or if it could contribute to their rehabilitation.  A wider study is expected to begin next year.
