Hackers want to eliminate Web censorship with satellite grid – TechSpot News.
In what appears to be a pipe dream. A group of #hackers associated with Chaos Computer club out in Stuttgart, Germany. Appears to have plans to launch their own communications satellites into space.
The team expects to have a three prototype ground stations ready by first half of 2012. Each ground station would cost roughly $130.00.
The launch itself would have to involve amateur rockets or a balloon launched system as the price tag to put such a dream aloft would be very pricey indeed.
This seems to be one approach to fend off the #SOPA legislation.
Chaos computer club is a bunch of ‘hobbyist hackers, tinkerers and part time scientists’ based out of Stuttgart, Germany. Their ultimate goal is to put an amateur hacker astronaut on the moon.
