Bonneville Power Ordered to Change Wind Rules – NYTimes.com.
After reading this mornings NYTimes piece, I’m struck by the fact that the Pacific North West has an OVER ABUNDANCE of electricity.Which required them to turn lock out the wind power generation units over this last summer.  Did anyone see a lowering in Electric Rates out there?

Well it appears the BPA didn’t like the idea of lowering electric rates to use up the surplus of electricity.  They came up with excuses like save the salmon, and other reason’s.  Sounds like it’s time to over haul this agency.  Can one say ENRON or Price Fixing again?  This time by not building enough infrastructure to support the new generation of electricity production.  It’s long been known that the transmission lines headed from the Pacific Northwest into California have been bought up for YEARS by folks that think they might need them and sometimes sit idle when the excess electricity could be sold to lower the overall rates.  I for one am glad to see this ruling and would love to see this agency overhauled.
